The 5th RePSS - Multimodal Fusion Learning for Remote Physiological Signal Sensing
To be held at IJCAI 2026, August 2026, Bremen, Germany
To be held at IJCAI 2026, August 2026, Bremen, Germany
The 5th Remote Physiological Signal Sensing beyond Visible Light (RePSS) workshop will be held in conjunction with the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI 2026) on August 18th, 2026.
Under the theme “Remote Physiological Signal Sensing beyond Visible Light”, this workshop focuses on contactless physiological sensing research using multi-source data including visible light, near-infrared (NIR) videos, and radar signals. The subtle skin color variations in facial videos caused by heartbeats can be extracted to obtain remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) signals. Radar, on the other hand, can achieve robust measurement of heart rate and respiration signals by capturing tiny chest movements. Accurately extracting weak physiological features from multi-modal, highly-interfered, and non-visible light data urgently requires innovative fusion strategies and noise-robust sensing algorithms.
As an interdisciplinary research field, the workshop aims to bring together researchers worldwide to promote academic exchange and technological innovation, and to build an open and fair platform for evaluation and resource sharing. It adopts the hybrid format of “Workshop + Challenge + Invited Talks”, with the challenge as its core component.
